Good day my midsummer creepy cult Christmas Caroler’s! Tonight I peep and creep on Marinah Janello’s YULETIDE!
Next up on my list of films I have reviews for the Final Girls Berlin Film Festival is WHAT REMAINS, directed and written by Denna Sritharan.
There’s some amazing movies screening at the Final Girls Film Festival and I’m lucky enough to have the privilege to review them. First up is WILLOW GARDEN, directed by Kate MacDonald.
THE PUPPET MAN
Hey ghosts and ghouls! I’m back again with another short film review. This was a short and sweet 10 minute film, but BOY did it pack a punch.
DON’T THINK OF A PINK ELEPHANT
Here I am back again, ghosts and ghouls! Alright, I’ll be honest with you. Most of the time when I review a film/short, I do no research beforehand. I think I’ve told you this information before. Needless to say, when you come across a film called DON’T THINK OF A PINK ELEPHANT…what the hell do you think that’s about?
Directed by Izzy Lee, POSTPARTUM is a short film about a concerned woman, Diana, who visits a neighbor she hasn’t seen in awhile. When the neighbor, Holly, opens the door, her behavior is erratic and she tells Diana that she had her baby, who is sick. Diana wants to see the baby, but Holly refuses, saying Diana should leave. Diana makes her way inside Holly’s apartment and finds the source of a terrible smell, causing Holly even more distress.
WOMEN WHO KILL
I could keep this review short and sweet by simply stating that WOMEN WHO KILL is, in layman’s terms, fucking fantastic. Ingrid Jungermann is currently my favorite person in the world, and her film is equally incredible. A two-sentence movie review isn’t exactly professional however, and a film of this expertly-crafted caliber deserves every ounce of professionalism I have to offer (which isn’t much, but hell, I can try).
